Water Softeners
Aquatek Water Conditioning believes that good water and healthy living go hand in hand. Water quality has never been more important as consumers become increasingly aware of what is in their water. We encourage our customers to take control of their water by investing in equipment that can provide them with peace of mind and quality of life.
Hard water contains excessive levels of the minerals calcium and magnesium, a condition found in 85 percent of the United States. This can cause scale and buildup in pipes and water heaters, produce unsightly water stains in bathtubs and fixtures, and leave behind scum in the shower and on your skin.
Reduce Scale and Buildup
Water softeners are designed to reduce the amount of hardness and scale that travel through pipes and fixtures, and then into appliances. A softener’s ion exchange technology significantly reduces the amount of scale buildup and prevents it from heading through your pipes and into your home.
Improved Appliance Lifespan
Whether you are moving into a new home, or live in an existing home, you will likely have household appliances that rely on water, such as water heaters, dishwashers, and washing machines. Water softeners can help extend the life of these appliances by reducing the mineral deposits that can clog or even damage the internal components.
Skin and Hair Benefits
The removal of hardness from water by a softener can benefit skin and hair. Soft water is gentler on skin and hair as it will not leave behind residue that can lead to dryness or irritation. It helps shampoos and soaps lather better, which will require less product usage to achieve the same cleaning effect, and can help hair color last longer.
Less Cleaning
Who doesn’t like the thought of less scrubbing and cleaning? Soft water can reduce spots and streaks on dishes and glassware, leaving them looking cleaner and shinier. Soft water can also make cleaning showers and fixtures much easier.
Custom Built and designed Locally
When it comes to water softeners, the common phrase of “one size fits all” does not apply, nor does “bigger is always better.” Our water softeners are sized based on each customer’s water quality, water usage, and specific home needs. The equipment is built in our shop, by our experienced service technicians, and based on the specifications determined from an on-site consultation in which we test water, identify water usage, and any special fixtures.

Care & Preventative Maintenance
Ongoing preventative maintenance is the best way to protect your softener and to ensure it provides you with soft, scale-free water. The most important part of taking care of your softener is making sure water softener salt is kept in the brine tank. This helps the unit work at its highest capacity and can help the softener maintain a long life. We also recommend a preventative maintenance “tune-up” by our experienced service technicians every four to five years. This can help ward off future issues and keep the unit running at it’s highest capacity.
